life...love...and the pursuit of baller status..

Alas.

"The bubonic plague of words will exit henceforth from my mouth and pillage their minds for a decade of fortnights."

So I made this statement to my good, saliva reservoir filled friend Ben Martin some 2 months ago about something or more specifically someone. He greeted me with this warm quotation and so I decided to blog about its significance. Since I can't remember who I might have been referring to, let's take a moment to think about the possibilities of who it might be.

Ok, that moment passed and I have absolutely no idea who it could have been.

Moving right along..so this week so far has been a real kick in the lower abdomen. I'm kinda apathetic to school right now which sucks because I've only got 2 semesters left, but there are times when I feel like all these shenanigans I'm having to figure out will be worthless to me in the future. Then again, I guess that would be the normal thought process when you're doing math solely with letters.

Mother of pearl. I just realized like right now...that I still have a problem or two to do in Machine Design. Good thing those problems only take about 2 hours a piece. :P

Good stuff.

Alas...oh reginalddd

So the week has kicked off with a boom reminiscent of the sound of shells above Fort McHenry from the vantage point of a British ship during the War of 1812 in 1814. There on that glorious day Francis Scott Key wrote The Star Spangled Banner, our national anthem.

Anywho, so I have acquired this knack for wanting to watch good TV, or at least TV that is better than what I would label normal TV. The great thing is that there are actually some great looking shows on TV these days, and because I chose to not watch any kind of TV regularly other than LOST from 1998-2008, I can always catch up. Back in those times we only had 1 good TV. My parents occupied it most readily with cult classics like Dr. Quinn Medicene Woman, Perry Mason, Diagnosis Murder, The Andy Griffith Show, Star Trek Deep Space 9, Little House on the Prairie, and I Love Lucy.

Those were the days where I logged onto my computer and played Age of Empires...actually all 4 of them, and learned to love history and combat tactics in wars.

Mother of pearl, I digress. So on the tab for this semester is the following:

  1. Fringe - A new JJ Abrams project. The pilot was great and the technology/science aspect of it sucked me in immediately. Oh looky.. the second episode just finished downloading via torrent.
  2. Dexter - Nothing but love for the vigilante criminal slaying serial killer. Episode one of season three was leaked and picks up where it left off.
  3. Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles - Ahh the nerddom comes out of me. Yes, I like it, and the chick from Serenity/Firefly (Summer Glau) stars in it.
  4. Entourage - Jeremy Piven FTW.
  5. Chuck - Season two starts next week I think.
  6. The Big Bang Theory - Also starts next week. The nerds are back.
  7. Stargate Atlantis - Gotta get my Sci-Fi fix.
So that is pretty much what I have my eyes on so far this semester.

I recently finished Rome, which was an amazing series. I am halfway through Battlestar Galactica which will begin to conclude come January. LOST will also restart in January.

Sweet mother of moses.

Btw, I have most of the above if you would like to watch any, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Off to partake in more shenanigans.

'ello Govna

So.

I was asked by my friends, Romans, and countrymen to start a blog. I love to write, but only when I want to.

Blogging has this uncanny ability to force one to write when they don't want to, forcing one meet expectations of others or cause one to subjugate themselves to writing for writing's sake.

Nay nay my friend. No mas por favor. This will not occur.

And so it begins, and the shenanigans ensue.
